Bosch & Keaton Hide Behind a Poem About a Deer

Jim Zola

Bosch flutters his fingers in front of his face
Buster hides behind a bowtie disguise
I once watched a man fly
over my car
late at night
on route 28A
heading back to Falmouth
So drunk
he stood up
and stared at me
mouth open
He became a deer
running back into the woods
pine brush and nettles
The artist crosses himself
The actor moons
